About the Course
Program Overview
The Gallup Manager Program is a two-day course that equips participants with a proven, science-backed approach to coaching employees to optimize performance outcomes. This premier development experience prepares people managers to lead effectively in today’s demanding workplace.
This course was previously a part of the Boss to Coach Journey. Our world-class instructional designers selected the most impactful elements, along with our latest research findings, to create a powerfully streamlined two-day learning experience, known as the Gallup Manager Program.
Who Should Attend
This course is for people managers at all levels who are responsible for the development and performance of their direct reports.
What Participants Will Learn
With an emphasis on strengths-based, engagement-focused, and performance-oriented coaching, managers and leaders who complete this program will make employees, teams, and your organization more productive and profitable.
Participants will learn about implementing best practices for using CliftonStrengths®, applying engagement principles, practicing effective ongoing coaching conversations, using coaching techniques to lead performance development conversations and having difficult performance discussions.
The Virtual Experience
We know pulling managers away from their day-to-day responsibilities to be in the same location is difficult to do. As a result, we have created this virtual learning experience to eliminate the need for travel.
Leveraging the advanced functions of Zoom, this is an interactive and engaging learning experience for managers that will include one-on-one, small and large group discussions and activities. Additionally, they will apply the coaching techniques learned during a live one-on-one coaching call with a direct report during the session.
The course materials, tools and resources are provided in digital form in the Gallup Manager Program kit via the Gallup Learning Center.

To create consistency as this course transitions from the Boss to Coach Journey to the Gallup Manager Program, participants will receive both the Boss to Coach One and the Gallup Manager Program digital materials.
After attending this course, participants connect with a Gallup coach for a 60-minute coaching conversation by phone to align their strengths with their role, team dynamics, priorities and additional managerial topics they wish to discuss
After attending the course, participants have access to 10 self-paced online modules that provide additional support and guidance to integrate the learning into a participant’s daily management approach. Each module offers a step-by-step approach to applying techniques and tools covered in the course.
Managers also receive access to short, self-paced on-demand learning modules focusing on strengths and engagement. These modules help managers build their knowledge and understanding in specific areas of interest.
