About the Course

Boss to Coach One is the first half of Gallup’s manager development program that equips managers to make employees, teams and organizations more productive and profitable.

Boss to Coach One includes more than 25 hours of content and involves these learning components:

  • Live instruction led by a Gallup instructor
  • Eight self-paced Learning in Action modules
  • One 60-minute coaching call with a Gallup coach
  • One 60-minute online cohort call with a Gallup instructor (takes place four weeks after the course)

What is the Boss to Coach Journey?

The Boss to Coach Journey is composed of two halves: Boss to Coach One and Boss to Coach Two. Managers who complete the full journey are eligible to earn the Gallup-Certified Manager credential.

The Leading High-Performance Teams course also satisfies the first half of the curriculum requirement of Gallup’s Manager Certification. Managers who have completed the Leading High-Performance Teams course are eligible to attend Boss to Coach Two and complete the requirements for certification.

What is the difference between Boss to Coach One and Boss to Coach Two?

In Boss to Coach One, managers begin their journey of moving from boss to coach by exploring the following topics:

Does this course qualify for Gallup’s management certification?

Yes. This course satisfies half of the curriculum requirements for manager certification. The second half of the curriculum requirement is Boss to Coach Two.

  • complete the Leading High-Performance Teams course plus Boss to Coach Two
